Explore Science: Earth & Space Discovery Lab Program

Join us for something out of this world in honor of Astronomy Week and Astronomy Day!  Explore Earth and space with a variety of experiments changing throughout each day.  Activities will introduce you to research happening at NASA, Earth and planetary science, and astrophysics.  These programs are made possible by the National Informal STEM Education Network (NISE).  The Discovery Lab will be open by announcement periodically throughout each day.  FREE with general paid admission.

Little Labs for Pre-K @ Hands On! Discovery Center
May 9 @ 9:00 am – 10:15 am

 

Little Labs are fun and engaging learning-play sessions designed for 3-5 year olds and their caregivers to enjoy hands-on exploratory STEAM learning and play.

Little Labs offer developmentally appropriate STEAM curriculum for children to learn and grow in a safe, nurturing environment.  Each week will feature story time, music, movement, and an activity, craft, or experiment.

  • Little Labs happen every Thursday morning at 9am, through May 30th.
  • Space is very limited and pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
  • Cost for Little Labs
    • $3 for Pre-K children with pre-registration, $4 for walk-in admission (if space allows).
    • FREE for adult (an adult must be present for registered children)
    • General admission fees apply to for all children ages 4+ and adults to stay and play in the museum following the Little Labs program.
