Children (3 & under): FREE
FREE Admission for Members

Your admission ticket is valid for the full day.

Online tickets are available or you may purchase tickets upon arrival.  Tickets purchased on-line are only valid for the date purchased.  Please double check before you buy your tickets.

Tesla Experience Shows are available at 10:30 am, 12:30 pm, 2:30 pm, & 4:30 pm.  Click here to learn more.

Paleo Tours are available at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm & 4:00 pm.  Click here to learn more.

Tickets are $2 each for Tesla Experience Shows and Paleo Tours are sold on a first-come/first-serve basis and are available at the front desk.

Guest passes are available for purchase at the above prices that can be used at a future date. You may contact us or purchase them in our online store.

Payment Info

We accept cash, personal checks, and credit cards. Guests who choose to pay with a card agree to pay a $0.50 processing fee (starting in January, 2026, this fee will be $1.00). We recommend that you purchase your tickets in advance here.

For guests belonging to other ASTC science centers or museums, please note the following:

  • You must present your valid/active membership card along with a photo ID.
  • Make sure we are not located within 90 miles of your home residence. This distance is measured as a linear radius, not driving distance.  For example, if you live in Washington County, TN and hold a membership from a museum in Florida, we will not accept that membership as admission.
  • Members of the WNC Wildlife Nature Center receive a discounted admission.
  • Please contact us if you have further questions.

Discounts & Coupons

We offer the following discounts on our admission prices:

  • Teachers receive free individual admission

Accepted documents include:

        • School issued ID from school district, charter or private school, co-op, umbrella school, or virtual academy

        • Active state-issued teacher certificate

        • Current affidavit to homeschool

        • Letter from your school district, charter or private school, co-op, umbrella school, or virtual academy where you are registered. This letter must be on letterhead from the organization you have registered.

        • Paystub from school district, charter or private school, co-op, or umbrella school, or virtual academy.

        • State issued home school ID

The following documents do not qualify for teacher admission discount:

        • Lesson plans

        • Letter of intent

        • Attendance record

        • Admissions records

  • AAA members receive $1 off each admission with AAA card and photo ID
  • Senior citizens receive $1 off their individual admission
  • Individuals with a Military ID received $1 off admission
  • ETSU students and faculty receive free individual admission with a current ID

Discounts are not transferrable and only one discount or offer may be applied to each ticket.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer discounts through our on-line ticket sales at this time.  If you qualify for one of the above discounts, please call us at (423) 434-4263 to reserve your tickets.

Service Animals

Qualified service dogs that have been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability are welcome.  Pets and emotional support animals are not permitted entry to any buildings or outdoor exhibit areas.

Hours

  • Tuesday – Saturday: 10am – 5pm
  • Sunday: 1pm – 5pm
  • Monday:  CLOSED (open from 10am-5pm on Mondays during March, June, & July only)

Please allow 1 1/2 to 2 hours to fully enjoy and explore all of our exhibits and activities.

Holiday Closings:

We are closed on Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.  We are sometimes closed for fundraisers and other large-scale events.  Please check our events calendar for additional holiday or other closings.

Inclement Weather:

Please check our Facebook page to stay up to date on closings during inclement weather. We will post any schedule changes as soon as they are made.

 Join us for some egg-cellent dinosaur and fossil themed activities in a prehistoric forest! Activities and egg hunting are on-going, so stop by anytime during the event.  Included with paid general admission.
